Stephanie Ockenden is a prominent figure in South Australia’s arts and media landscape, managing her own consultancy with a focus on lifestyle media.
With a career spanning over 16 years, Stephanie specialises in major events, media and brand strategy, marketing operations, public relations, social media, talent management, sponsorship, business development, and philanthropy.
Notably, she served as a Board Director for the Adelaide Central School of Art and Flinders Foundation for six years
An experienced event host, facilitator and planner, Stephanie worked in the television industry for close to a decade, starting at Channel Seven Adelaide in 2009 before taking on a nationally focused role at Channel Seven Sydney in 2016. Her strategic approach secured sponsorships, fostered relationships, and aligned the broadcaster with impactful major events and organisations. At Seven Sydney, Stephanie led marketing operations nationwide, delivering the marketing creative for all network programming from concept to implementation. Highlights include delivering campaigns for the Rio Olympics and leading national programs such as The XFactor, My Kitchen Rules and Sunrise.
Stephanie's passion for the arts led her back to SA and to the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA) where she held several leadership positions across Communications and Development. As the Head of Communications, she managed all external and internal communications for AGSA, attracting extensive national and international media coverage and reviews for exhibitions. As the Head of Strategic Development, she oversaw key events, lucrative sponsorships and creative collaborations and activations for major exhibitions – in particular the extremely successful 2023 international exhibition, Frida & Diego: Love & Revolution.
Passionate about design, interiors and creating beautiful spaces, Stephanie also produces her own artwork and works regularly on commissions. Her works portray a soft, feminine aesthetic, focusing on tones that complement classic-contemporary interiors.
Her affinity for art and design seamlessly extends to the world of fashion, where Stephanie has hosted brand and collection launches for labels such as Viktoria & Woods and Yaneth. She also proudly serves as an ambassador for Burnside Village, actively participating in their social media campaigns and co-hosting their season launches.
